Turtle Power

Hey, we all know turtles are great. How can you not appreciate an animal that moves at 2 mph and somehow manages to live for over a hundred years. Well it turns out that the rest of the world is learning from and using turtles for innovation.
Davidi Galid is rocking out his new turtle inspired backpack. Well actually tortoise inspired, but you get the idea, there is a
shell involved. Because of the different interlocking polygons that make up the backpack, this bag will keep its shape and style regardless of what you shove in it. To top it off it is perfect for those of us who miss our teenage mutant ninja turtle bags.
Comcast figured out that turtles can be valuable partners in advertising. Their slow nature makes them a perfect fit as a metaphor for competitors. They can do this and make a commercial that is still entertaining.
Fictitious talking turtles are not the only ones gaining attention. Conservation International is running "The Great Turtle Race."
To help raise awareness, this race will take the form of a reality show where 11 turtles equipped with satellite tracking devices will race from Costa Rica to the Galapagos Islands.
